This equipment is designed for taking samples in clay and other soft formations. Each sample tube is 18" in length and is pushed into the ground using a sliding hammer with a U100 drive head (grip cap) attached.
The drive head contains a globe valve to allow air to be expelled from the top of the sample tube as it is pushed into the ground.
The complete sampling system consists of:
