Test Method Description

This test method covers the determination of the flash point of liquids with a viscosity below 5.5 mm²/s (cSt) at 40 °C (104 °F) or below 9.5 mm²/s (cSt) at 25 °C (77 °F) and a flash point below 93 °C (200 °F).

This test method covers the determination of whether a liquid is suitable for closed cup flashing. This test method is limited to a temperature range of 0 to 110 °C (32 to 230 °F).

Flash Point by Equilibrium Method in Closed Cup Apparatus

This test method covers the determination of the flash point of liquids when the sample and the air/vapor mixture above it are approximately at temperature equilibrium. This test method is limited to a temperature range of 0 to 110 °C (32 to 230 °F).
