Mask Automatic Filtration Performance Test Device - Testing Mask Material Filtration Performance

NaCl solution prepared with clean compressed air or a similar solution such as DEHS/PAO is sprayed from an aerosol generator. After passing through a classifier (based on inertia principle), unnecessary large particles are collected in a collection flask, and particles that meet the requirements enter the test system from the nozzle of the aerosol generator.

G506 Mask Automatic Filtration Performance Test Device

The aerosol emitted by the aerosol generator requires two processes before reaching the tested filter material: producing aerosol salt particles by mixing with heated gas (for salt spray) and neutralizing the static electricity carried by the aerosol through an electrostatic neutralizer. This process reduces particle loss and the effect of static electricity on test results.

After the aerosol is processed through the two above-mentioned processes, it reaches the surface of the tested filter material at a specific flow rate, and then the test procedure is initiated. The test time for filter efficiency testing is very short, and completing the test only takes a few seconds. The loading experiment is relatively long. A particle counter or laser scattering photometer is used to measure the concentration or mass concentration of the upstream and downstream aerosol and to calculate filtration efficiency. At the same time, the pressure drop across both sides of the filter is measured by a differential pressure sensor.
