Disk Grinder
Disk Grinder Disk Grinder

Application

The disk mill can be used to grind soft and hard materials with a Mohs hardness of up to 8 into fine particles.

Operating Behavior and Mechanical Properties

In the disk mill, grinding takes place between two toothed grinding disks. One grinding disk is stationary, while the other is rotated by a geared motor, applying a cutting action on the material to be crushed. The gap between the two grinding disks determines the fineness of the ground material. By means of an adjustment wheel with an integrated scale, the position of the stationary grinding disk can be changed, allowing the gap width between the two grinding disks to be repeatedly adjusted. The ground material falls into a container placed beneath the grinding disks.
