ASTM D4253 (Method 1A—1B), D4254

N° 200: Used in soils containing up to 12% (by weight) of soil passing through a 0.075 mm sieve. The method uses vibratory compaction to achieve maximum density and loose soil to achieve minimum density.

Made of galvanized steel. Diameter 279.4 x 230.9 (h) mm, with holding handles and guide bracket for dial gauge mounting. 86.2 kg surcharge weight with 276.2 mm diameter x 152.4 mm height and an extra base plate with handle is supplied.
