Steel Gripper Head Sets are used for capping concrete cylinders in compression strength testing. A steel gripper head holds and secures the concrete cylinder sample in place at both ends before testing with Neoprene Pads. Steel Grippers are sold in pairs and are available for 6-inch, 4-inch, 3-inch, or 2-inch diameter concrete cylinders.
The grippers are made of alloy steel and are coated inside and out to resist corrosion. The grippers are precision machined to specified dimensions. All bearing surfaces are flat within 0.002 inches (0.05 mm). With proper maintenance, they last for several years.
