Working Principle

The device consists of a stainless steel rod with conical points at both ends. One end has a fixed point, while the other end is designed to be rotatable around a slight vertical axis.

With a 5 mm movement range (-2.5 +2.5), the rotational movement is transmitted to the comparator at a 1:1 ratio. The structure to be checked is prepared by bringing together 2 disks with marked centers.

Usage and Measurement

Disks are fixed in the position determined by the extension rod with fixed points at both ends. The distance change between the two disks is measured with micrometric precision and displayed on the dial gauge.
