The dial penetrometer is a useful device for the rapid determination of the soil's unconfined compressive strength, expressed in kg/cm².
Graduated scale 0 - 6 kgf/cm².
In addition to the standard type with 6.4 mm diameter, the device comes with 4 load plates (10, 15, 20, 25 mm diameter) for the indirect determination of the friction angle in non-cohesive soils.
