A variable speed controlled electric motor is used to rotate the sample. Then, a cutting disk can be moved both horizontally and vertically to bring the sample to the desired diameter.
The lathe machine is supplied with support plates of 38.1 mm diameter. Support plates for other diameters corresponding to the required sample diameter must be ordered separately.
