It is the Penetrometer device used to determine the penetration depth of asphalt cube samples.
The device consists of a sturdy steel frame, stainless steel tips with base plates for the sample, and a loading mechanism.
It ensures the minimum friction and complete seating of the test disk on the sample. The guide rod is hardened and directed into a ball bearing.
Loading is done with four operating handles via an easy-to-operate spindle.
It is complete with load weights of 500 N (51 kg), interchangeable test disks with 1 cm and 5 cm surfaces, a 30 mm travel, 0.01 mm precision comparator clock, and a thermostatic water bath.
The mold must be ordered separately.
