The test method is used to determine the minimum adhesion of cold-applied bituminous materials to determine setting time and cycle time. This setting corresponds to the end of an irreversible combination process of the emulsion. Therefore, the elapsed time corresponds to the time between material application and setting. The torque is measured at appropriate intervals after application on five samples of the same cold-applied material.
