CENTRIFUGE DEVICE
A centrifuge is a laboratory device that typically performs circular rotational movement around a fixed axis with the help of an electric motor. A medical centrifuge device, with its high rotational speed, enables the separation of mixtures placed inside it according to the principle of sedimentation. Heavier particles accumulate at the bottom of the tube with the help of centrifugal force (moving outward in circular motion). Similarly, lighter particles move toward the top of the tube (moving toward the center of the circular motion). Suspensions or emulsions can be easily separated this way. For example, blood can be separated so that serum remains at the top, oil in the middle, and clot at the bottom.
