General

The Pulp Density Scale relates the specific gravity of the ore to the percentage of solids in the pulp. This information is displayed on a circular scale for several specific weight readings using a balance. The balance can be used for rapid, accurate percentage solid determinations at various points along a concentrator and allows adjustments to be made to ensure, for example, a grinding circuit operates effectively. The Direct Reading Pulp/Liquid Density and Specific Gravity Scale speeds up the determination of pulp/liquid densities; the specific gravities of pulps/liquids or solids, the specific gravity of dry solids. It eliminates errors in reading charts or graphs and prevents errors in calculations. It provides greater accuracy and has a wide specific gravity range.

Application

  • Weight of the sample in grams or kilograms
  • Specific gravity of the liquid or pulp
  • Percentage of solids in the pulp of any specific gravity
  • Specific gravity of dry solids

Features and Benefits

  • Greater Sensitivity: The circular dial is equivalent to a 47" beam balance for greater sensitivity
  • Sturdy Construction: The entire unit is supported by an upper ring. The scale is accurately calibrated at the factory
  • Accuracy: Cylindrical containers with flared overflow holes allow for exact filling up to 1000cc
  • Easy to Use: No need to weigh samples separately; Refer to tables or make calculations
  • Compatibility: Interchangeable dials make the scale applicable for weighing any type of solid, light/heavy density

Interchangeable Dial Faces

Each scale contains 12 interchangeable dial faces with a specific gravity range of dry solids from 1.2 to 7.8.

The permanently attached #1 dial on each scale has the following specific gravity range of dry solids: 2.2, 2.6, 2.8, 3.2, 3.6, 4.0, 4.4.

The interchangeable dial faces for each scale are as follows:
