Application

Testform laboratory presses are generally used to prepare samples for different types of laboratory tests. This is because many laboratory test equipment can only provide reliable results if the samples are properly pressed beforehand.

The Testform Laboratory Presses series is an important tool for preparing samples with repeatable characteristics. Mechanical rigidity and consistent closing force are fundamental elements to ensure even heat distribution on the roller surface and constant thickness of the sample.

The Testform Presses series is recommended for all demanding quality control and R&D applications where accuracy and consistency are prerequisites.

Cooling System with Water Circuit

Cooling the press plates during the molding cycle is necessary for thermoplastic materials, as the material must be cooled to its solidification temperature before opening the mold.

Test form presses can be equipped with an efficient cooling unit that allows the temperature of the plates to be reduced at a controlled rate (up to -30°C/min).

The cooling unit consists of a cooling circuit that can be connected to a demineralized water supply source or a chiller.

Molds for Laboratory Press

Various molds compliant with international standards are produced for sample preparation by compression molding.

The molds are made of steel and produced by the Testform mechanical workshop. Most mold models are chrome-plated to ensure the samples last longer and can be easily removed.

Molds for Plates

Molds used for plate preparation are manufactured with utmost care to maintain the required thickness and ensure excellent surface quality. For this purpose, the mold surface is ground and then chrome-plated. Standard molds are 200x200 mm in size and 2, 4 or 6 mm thick.

Molds with different dimensions and thicknesses than the standard ones, and molds with multiple thicknesses are also produced.

Other Molds

Other Molds are produced according to the customer's specific needs.
