Insurance Remover
The main objective in EOD is to prevent the explosion of unexploded bombs. Safe Disposal Procedures have been adopted, utilizing various tools to break the explosion train by attaching to the bomb fuse.
Rocket Key
The Bomb Insurance remover 'Rocket Key' EMD-03 is a high-torque, remotely operated dynamic key. It is designed to disassemble and remove bomb safety mechanisms. Two rocket tubes with cartridges fired in opposite directions turn the key when activated. Different jaws are provided to securely hold the key to different safety shapes.
When fired, a bungee cord attached to a log pulls the rotating key away from the bomb body. The Rocket Key kit can also be operated using 0.50 inch cartridges by removing its projectile. Projectile removal equipment is also included with the kit. It can generate torque in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions.
