Windsor HP Prob System

The Most Advanced System for Testing the Compressive Strength of Standard and High-Performance Concrete

The ideal solution for in-situ strength testing of normal and high-performance concrete.

Applications

  • Formwork Stripping Time
  • Structural Analysis
  • Lightweight concrete strength determination
  • Standard concrete strength determination
  • High-strength concrete strength determination
  • High precision determination

On-site, it accurately and effectively measures the compressive strength of concrete.

The Windsor HP Probe system quickly and accurately determines the compressive strength of concrete in a structure by driving a probe into the concrete with a known force. This modern system, developed and improved over thirty years, can measure concrete with a maximum compressive strength of 17,000 PSI (110 MPa). It has been ruggedized for use in the construction environment but refined to provide the user with a simpler operating system. An electronic measurement unit has been added to help provide suitable test results that can be recorded for later review or uploading to a personal computer.

Two probe types are available: one for lightweight, low-density concrete with air-entrained aggregate and another for more standard mix designs. Additionally, two standard power settings facilitate testing of both fresh and mature mixes.

The Windsor Probe test is approved by federal, state, and municipal agencies as well as a number of foreign countries in Asia and Europe. It is compliant with the following tests, specifications, and applications:

  • ASTM C-803 Standard Test Method for Penetration Resistance of Hardened Concrete
  • ACI 228.1R-03: In-Place Methods to Estimate Concrete Strength
  • ACI 228.2R-98: Nondestructive Test Methods for Evaluation of Concrete in Structures
  • ANSI A.10-3
  • BS 1881 Part 207 Testing of Concrete
  • TS 13537 Test Method for Determining the Penetration Resistance of Hardened Concrete
