What is the Flotation Technique?

Flotation is a method used to recover fine mineral particles from ore pulp in gold, copper, lead, zinc, and coal mining. This technique involves filling the pulp with a frothing solution to separate the particles. Due to surface tension, some particles float upward with air bubbles that can be extracted; particles that still contain large amounts of ore sink to the bottom of the tank and are called "tailings".

Laboratory Flotation Device MN075

The laboratory flotation device MN075 is used to determine the percentages of required reagents in a production flotation tank and to take metallurgical samples. Various flotation tanks are available for use with the MN075. The tank and mixer are made of stainless steel. The machine is designed for material fineness of 500 to 750 microns.

The device includes tanks for flotation tests with 250 grams, 500 grams, 1,000 grams, and 2,000 grams. It also comes with an abrasion washing kit and a mixing impeller.
