Description
The Drop Weight Test Device is suitable for testing cushioning materials. It has a standard 5 kg falling striker. Normally, the drop height is 100 cm, and as a result of the drop, the striker hits the sample, causing 50 joules of energy to be released.
The device reads the internal energy absorbed by the sample in response to a 50 joule force. It measures the impact absorption capacity of packaging materials and is used to protect personnel and sophisticated items from injury or damage.
