Carbonation test set

Standard: EN 13295

The test is for measuring the carbonation depth on concrete surfaces.

The set consists of the following:

• Phenolphthalein solution (1000 ml)
• Demineralized water (5000 ml)
• Depth measuring device
• Two washing bottles with 250 ml capacity

Phenolphthalein solution is sprayed on the surface of the tested concrete sample to detect the loss of alkalinity due to carbonation.

If associated with concrete reinforcement, the risk of corrosion due to carbonation can be measured.
