Determination of carbonation depth

The CARBONTEST kit, placed in a 39x34x14 cm colored polypropylene transport case, is designed to contain everything necessary for finding and analyzing the carbonation depth.

For the dust collection process, it consists of a Picker: It has a ring-shaped capture head with a sealing element. The lower part of the ring ends in a funnel that directs the dust into the relevant test tube.

25 disposable test tubes made of styrene acrylonitrile, 18 cm long with an internal width of 9 mm, can be used to collect various samples. The transparent box comes with a special thin cut along the generator of the container that provides the chemical reactant while the dust remains inside.

The reactif, in a 125 ml bottle with an evaporation-proof cap; has a reaction range between pH 8.3 and pH 10.0. It is a 1% alcoholic solution of phenolphthalein and determines carbonation by affecting the pink color change of the dust.

To empty the solution into the collected sample, the set includes a 3 ml dosing Pasteur pipette that makes it simple and easy to move along the thin cut of the phenolphthalein test tube.

A polypropylene ruler with cm and inch notches is available to measure the depth of the hole to be taken and to check the carbonation in the dust sample collected inside the test tube.

To seal the hole, a 250 gr repair resin tube for cement is available. Smooth surfaces that can be polished and painted, both indoors and outdoors at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C, are suitable for gray colors.
