Profometer - Corrosion Meter

The Profometer - Corrosion Meter uses half-cell electrical measurement technology for the detection and mapping of corrosion in reinforced steel. A cable is connected to the rebar grid, and the electrical potential is measured with liquid-saturated copper/copper-sulfate electrode probes. Data is collected on the robust touchscreen controller and processed for mapping and reporting with the included Profometer Link software. The extent of active corrosion activity is easily measured and documented, and corrosion hotspots are quickly isolated.

This advanced device features a 7-inch (178 mm) 800x480 pixel color touchscreen with an intuitive user interface, informative display, and supportive workflow. The dual-core processor and 8GB flash memory allow for efficient processing and storage of measured data for later download to the user's PC. Customizable screen graphics and pre-defined ASTM-compliant layout enable rapid on-site data interpretation. The measurement range is -1000 to +1000mV with 1mV resolution. The sampling rate is 900Hz and impedance is 100MΩ. The Profometer - Corrosion Meter can also be configured to use third-party silver/silver chloride electrodes.

The CN414 Profometer comes equipped with a touchscreen and interface box, and also includes a charger, a 25m cable with clamp, USB cable, software, carrying case, and strap. The unit requires a separately purchased Rod or Wheel Corrosion Electrode to operate. The Rod Corrosion Electrode is used for single readings or in a manually defined grid pattern. The available Single-Wheel and Four-Wheel Electrodes increase data collection accuracy and maximize efficiency for evaluating large areas. Both wheel-type electrodes feature a 1.7m telescopic pole, encoder, and necessary cables.

The Corrosion Meter is designed as an all-in-one device and shares hardware and electronic components with the Profometer® 6 series Cover Meters. The CN414-01 Conversion Kit, provided with a universal probe, converts this unit to a CN396 Profometer Cover Meter.
