This is a simple method for determining the correct density of mud. An important advantage of this balance is that the temperature of the drilling mud does not affect the accuracy of the readings. It is ideal for field use.
It consists of a base, a scaled balance arm and container, a cover, a cutting blade, a water balance, and a counterweight. A plastic carrying case keeps it balanced and in working position.
