One of the most important functions of drilling fluids is to transport drilling cuttings out of the well.
These solids are contaminants to the drilling fluid and cause many problems when they remain in the well.
The TESTFORM SAND MEASUREMENT KIT provided by TESTFORM determines the volumetric ratio of solids larger than ''74 microns'' (200 mesh) in size in the drilling fluid.
Tests can be performed on both light and heavy muds. The kit consists of a graduated tube, a funnel, a 200 mesh sieve, and a cylindrical case for measuring the volumetric percentage.
