The cell base and load piston are made of brass or stainless steel, as are the sample retaining ring and fixing pins; a plexiglass cylinder is fitted to contain saturation water.
The cell is equipped with a drainage channel and a watertight connecting piece between the ring and base to allow for permeability tests.
Two porous disks are provided with each cell.
