Determination of the crush resistance of the compressed channel
Determination of the crush resistance of the compressed channel Determination of the crush resistance of the compressed channel

The compressed specimen, 100 mm in length, is cut from the newly compressed channel. This test specimen is placed in a suitable testing apparatus where both ends are fixed and subjected to a continuously increasing test load, uniformly distributed perpendicular to the axis direction and along its length, until the deformation in the load direction equals 10% of the outer diameter.

During the test, the rate of increase in deformation must not exceed 50 mm/min.

The compressive strength is determined based on the maximum test load F1 reached.
