Used to test the impact resistance of coatings on metal substrates.

According to ISO standard, the test panel is fixed into the mold using a compression device, so that the panel surface outside the test area is not affected by the rapid deformation caused by the falling weight.

Features

• The impact testing device consists of a sturdy base with a guide tube support. The guide tube has a slot that directs a cylindrical weight sliding up and down with the help of a collar that sits on the weight.
• There are graduation marks along the slot to easily read where the weight has fallen. The device has a mold support on its base.
• The weights have built-in steel balls that provide different geometric configurations. It is important that the ball diameter fits into the mold to prevent the test samples from being cut at the inner edge of the mold.
• Distance rings of different thicknesses can be attached to limit the indentation depth of the falling weight. Additionally, different weights can also be used.
