Application

The TESTFORM Pendulum Impact Tester is designed to meet your needs for accurate and repeatable impact testing of materials. It is used to determine the mechanical and physical properties of plastics, polymers, composites, metals, and final products in research & development and quality control tests. The TESTFORM Pendulum Impact Tester performs Charpy and Izod tests according to international standards.

The TESTFORM SDTC-50J impact pendulum is designed to determine the impact resistance values of thermoplastic materials. The tests comply with internationally recognized standards ISO 179 and ISO 180 for Charpy and Izod impact methods with energy values ranging from 0.5J to 50J.

Features

The TESTFORM SDTC-50J consists of a durable, robust metal frame along with test components such as hammer, vice, supports, and a high-resolution touchscreen. The durable, robust metal frame provides significant rigidity to the pendulum, and the test components can be interchanged with hammers and support vices of different sizes. Additionally, the versatile built-in touchscreen is used by the operator to enter and select test parameters, view results, and control and automate the pendulum in the motorized version. It includes RS232 for computer control and direct analysis of results. Self-identifying hammers are mounted to the frame with a quick-change attachment, and their speed is electronically measured using magnetic and non-contact encoders. Furthermore, to ensure safe pendulum operation, it is equipped with a transparent safety cabin around the pendulum.

SDTC-50J Motorized Model

This version features a pneumatically operated hammer and a standard braking system; the repositioning of the hammer, especially for larger hammers, is facilitated by a motor mounted on the device to make system operation easier.

SDTC-50J Manual Model

This model is identical to the motorized model. However, the repositioning of the hammer in this system is done manually.
