5.2.4 Removal of 50 small plastic balls

When the test specified in clause 5.8.2.5 is applied, at the end of every 5 tests with 50 balls, at least 85% of these balls must be flushed from the toilet.

5.7.2.5 Test with fifty plastic balls

5.7.2.5.1 Test material

Fifty plastic balls made of non-absorbent material, each with a mass of (3.7 ± 0.1) g and a diameter of (20 ± 0.1) mm.

5.7.2.5.2 Test method

For each flush, 50 plastic balls are placed into the toilet and the water in the cistern is discharged. The balls remaining in the toilet are counted, the count is verified, and the test is repeated 5 times.
