EN 997 Standard and Water Splash Test

According to this standard, the evaluation method is determined as 5.7.2.6. When the test specified in clause 5.7.2.6 is applied, the flushing water in the cistern should not splash over the edge of the tank and should not wet the floor. Only a few small droplets of splash are permitted.

5.7.2.6.1 Test Materials

Paper that shows a change in surface characteristics when wet is used.

5.7.2.6.2 Test Method

Paper is placed around the projection of the toilet's seating surface, extending 200 mm outward. The reservoir water is discharged and water marks on the paper are recorded. The test is performed with the approved flush water volume of the toilet.
